珊瑚礁素有“海洋中的热带雨林”之称，近年来，海南出台了全国首个省级珊瑚礁专项行动计划，截至目前累计修复珊瑚礁近200公顷。那么，修复所用的珊瑚种苗从何而来？
总台记者金歆竹：位于三亚西岛的一处珊瑚培育基地，这里“珊瑚培育系统”里面装的是在三亚海域种植有优势的珊瑚种苗，有鹿角珊瑚、脑珊瑚、角孔珊瑚等，上方还有补光灯助力它们成长。科研人员正在对这些种苗进行耐热性的培育，培育后的优良种苗将会在水池里进行繁育，其实大部分繁育工作并不是在水池里，而是在海上的苗圃中。
据专家介绍，海底苗圃培植的种苗，是科研人员在本地优势珊瑚品种基础上，增强它们的耐热、抗台风等特性后进行繁育的。大部分的珊瑚种苗都是从海底苗圃中取出来，再填补到需要种植的区域。在海里培育苗圃相对于陆地可以提供更多的种植空间，天然的生态环境也有利于种苗的加速繁殖。
三亚珊瑚礁生态研究所高级工程师朱潜：在海南南部三亚这边，我们主要是用一些分枝状的鹿角珊瑚，加速它的覆盖率。在海南北部，我们主要是用一些块状珊瑚来适应它的泥沙浓度，属于耐受性比较强的物种，以适应珊瑚的生长，目前我们大概培育了11种珊瑚种苗。
在海南文昌的铜鼓岭国家级自然保护区，珊瑚礁修复项目正在加紧推进，通过技术人员在水下持续投放人工半球型礁体、钢结构人工礁体和自然海床原位种植珊瑚的方式，现已建成2公顷珊瑚礁修复区，共种植珊瑚9400多株，目前珊瑚礁修复项目珊瑚成活率在85%以上，珊瑚生长率在10㎝/年以上。
与此同时，海南采取“政府主导、社会参与”的协同模式，将三亚、万宁大洲岛等珊瑚礁天然集中分布区纳入自然保护区严格管理；在东方、琼海、临高、陵水等市县实施珊瑚礁修复项目，引导科研机构、公益组织等社会力量共同参与修复。通过补种珊瑚、投放人工礁体等措施，修复片区珊瑚群落逐步恢复，礁体生态面貌持续向好。2022年以来，全省修复珊瑚礁面积近200公顷，种植珊瑚超10万株。
海南生态环境厅总工程师杨小明：下一步，海南将系统构建珊瑚礁智慧监测网络，精准识别珊瑚礁白化等问题，建立重点海域问题清单，加强全过程监管，持续稳固保护成效。探索实施珊瑚礁占用补偿、增量指标交易等投入机制。
