“这是我们正在培育的‘快大’新品系，虾长得更快、更壮，现在已进入中试环节。”在广东湛江市东海岛国家863计划项目海水养殖种子工程南方基地，指着车间里的虾苗，运营方恒兴集团水产种苗与养殖研究所所长陈奕彬说。
来到基地，记者才发现，超市里、餐桌上常见的南美白对虾，很多就源自这里，听说不少养虾人宁肯空塘，也要等这里的虾苗。真有这么神奇？记者来到湛江雷州市养殖户宋开创的虾塘寻找答案。
碧波微漾，增氧机激起层层水花。“这批虾苗下塘50多天了，长势都很好。”养虾10多年的宋开创早已炼就“火眼金睛”。
刚开始养虾那些年，宋开创可没这么气定神闲——塘里放的虾苗，绝大多数是漂洋过海而来的。“贵，还不一定好。运气差时，一年收成就打了水漂。”那时，我国南美白对虾的种虾几乎完全依赖进口。
想破局，必须有自己的虾种“芯片”。2002年，基地选择从全球购入种虾，一代代测试筛选。2011年，“中兴1号”被选育出来，成为我国首个抗病南美白对虾新品种。2024年，抗弧菌的“中兴2号”通过国家审定。这次，育种“导航系统”登场——分子标记辅助育种，能提前从基因层面锁定抗病个体。
“‘中兴1号’抗急性病毒，‘中兴2号’抗副溶血弧菌，它们是互补的‘兄弟’。”陈奕彬介绍，而正在攻关的“快大”品系，则瞄准了虾如何长得更好更壮。
从实验室走向虾塘，远非终点。
“好苗，还得能养好。”恒兴集团副总裁莫爵君分管种苗业务，一天到晚忙着跑塘头。
有养殖户采用鱼虾混养，投放“中兴1号”虾苗后，养殖效果却并不好。莫爵君赶到现场，发现是金鲳鱼投放时机不对，虾苗成了鱼的“点心”。“这还了得！”莫爵君二话不说，马上帮虾农调整方案，让虾苗先隔离长大后再回塘。调整混养时序之后，养殖效果明显好转。
“我们提供的不只是苗，更是全链条服务，确保好苗出好虾。”莫爵君说。市场端的反馈，要源源不断回流至研发端，才能形成“育、繁、推”的闭环。
“芯片”的效能，最终写在塘头的账本上。“以前每亩虾塘产出100多斤就顶天了。”宋开创算了一笔账，现在用“中兴1号”，每年养4轮，每亩虾塘产出稳定在500斤以上。去年虾价走低，他家320亩虾塘利润仍超过250万元。
宋开创的故事并非孤例。2025年，基地年选育亲虾10万对。恒兴集团生产虾苗200亿尾，销量比上年整整翻了一番，超过1.6万养殖户受益。
更深远的影响在于，通过“海虾淡养”技术，南美白对虾已“游”进湖南、湖北、新疆等省份的淡水鱼塘，被端上更多家庭的餐桌，成为主流消费虾种。
研发的脚步从未停歇。在基地，新的“芯片”序列正在延伸：硇洲族大黄鱼实现了人工繁育，红螯螯虾的单性化育种取得关键突破……
从依赖进口到自主研发，从解决“有无”到瞄准“快大”，从咸水海域到内陆池塘，从一粒虾苗到水产家族，湛江正不断擦亮蓝色种业的“中国芯”。
